Charters
Fishing trips are all professionally guided with experienced, knowledgeable, and friendly skippers that have been fishing these waters for over 33 years. We love to catch fish, and take a great deal of pride showing our customers the thrill of experiencing World Class Sportfishing.
Charters are based on eight hour days. This could be split, where we’d fish in the morning and then again in the evening or most likely we’ll be out on the water from daybreak until the afternoon. A lot depends on the time of your trip. If we’re fishing offshore it is always a full day, which we would take out a good lunch with us. Everything is supplied except fishing licenses and rain gear. All fish is cleaned, bagged and then frozen. If you prefer icing your fish you may want to bring a couple of large coolers. Ucluelet offers salt ice, as well as vacuum packing services.
We would prefer to fish with two or three guests per boat, as not only there is more room to work with, each angler has a better quality of fishing (i.e.: more rod time). If a party of four would like to fish together on one boat there will be an additional charge.
About the boats
Morning Magic Sportfishing now operates four boats, a Grady White, two Wellcrafts and a custom aluminum.
All boats are bracketed with new Suzuki or Yamaha power with small auxiliary motors. They are also equipped with two steering stations, pump out marine heads and the latest and greatest electronics including colour GPS chart plotters, 16 mile radar, colour depth sounders, two vhf radio’s, Scotty high performance downriggers, Islander reels and Shimano rods.
These boats are very well taken care of and are specifically rigged out for offshore fishing on the West Coast and will give each of our guests the assurance of safety and reliability while enjoying there fishing adventure.
All safety equipment is up to date and complies with the Transport Canada Blue Decal program. As well, all Skippers have the required certification to operate a commercial charter vessel.
